There are close to 22,000 residents in the city of Radcliff, Kentucky, according to the U.S. Census. The city was founded back in 1919, but wasn’t incorporated until 1956. The city was named after Major William Radcliffe, who happened to be head of the Quartermaster Corps at the newly established Camp Henry Knox at the time.     - Police in Elizabethtown have arrested a man on robbery and assault charges. Travis D. Jeter, of Radcliff, was arrested Saturday morning around midnight in Radcliff by Elizabethtown Police, according to Elizabethtown Police Sgt. Tim Cleary. Jeter is accused of committing robbery and assault at the Towne Mall on January 5. Police have also charged Jeter with possession of a controlled substance . He is being held in the Hardin County Detention Center.

    Residents and businesses are hoping the military leaves neighboring Fort Knox alone. Military officials gave residents and officials their chance to make their case Tuesday night during a community forum at John Hardin High School. For the past decade lifetime Radcliff resident Pam Ogden has run a printing business. Ogden's son joined the Army last fall. Others at the meeting said the data the Army is using is questionable. The Pentagon is going to 30 Army installations to get feedback on cuts. Radcliff is hoping Washington, D.C., is listening.
