    A street in Pomona was flooded after a hit-and-run driver sheared a fire hydrant early Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 The water started gushing at around 3:45 a.m. after a white Honda Civic crashed into a parked Ford Mustang, which slammed into the hydrant in the 700 block of East La Verne Avenue The street and a residential lawn were flooded, but Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters were able to turn the hydrant off.
