    PERRIS - Four people were injured today in a three-car crash in the unincorporated community of Mead Valley, about three miles west of Perris, authorities said. Firefighters responded at 2:25 p.m. to the 20000 block of Cajalco Road, where they found four victims, including one trapped inside one of the vehicles. The trapped victim was cut out of the car and all four victims were transported to local hospitals, two with moderate injuries and two with minor injuries, fire officials said.

    Sheriff's deputies shot and killed a suspected burglar who allegedly kicked in an elderly couple's front door in Riverside County Saturday night, deputies said. The suspected burglar was taken to a local hospital where he died, Vasquez said. A caller reported that the home in the 25000 block of Highway 74 in Good Hope was being broken into just after 10 p.m., according to Vasquez. They told deputies that an elderly couple lived there. They were asleep and unharmed, Vasquez said, though deputies who arrived at the home found the door kicked in.
