    A former Cobb County resident is on trial in California for allegedly killing her two children days after full custody was awarded to her ex-husband, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Testimony in the trial claims that Marilyn Edge poisoned, suffocated, and drowned her 13-year-old son Jaelen and her 10-year-old daughter Faith inside a motel in Santa Anita, CA in September of 2013.

    Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley hosted its 36th Annual Benefit Dinner & Auction at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa on Oct. 4. More than 600 guests attended, raising $472,000 for the program's at-risk children. Funds will benefit club and programs like after-school care for children in the Oak View neighborhood of Huntington Beach, the Twilight Education Project, which helps low-income English Language Learner families, and the sliding scale program that allows families to pay only what they can afford for childcare and before- and after-school programs at all its locations.

Neil Storm Stephany, 23, of Huntington Beach did not stop after slamming into Shaun Eagleson, a 30-year-old Fountain Valley resident, with his truck, police said.
