  • Teen Molested Tots at SoCal Daycare

    The Highland teen, whose name was not disclosed because of his age, was accused Jan. 17 by the parents of a 3-year-old boy who said several acts of sexual abuse had been committed against their son, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. He has been booked at San Bernardino Juvenile Hall. The daycare, listed alternately as Saucedo Family Child Care and Saritas Family Daycare, has been cited 14 times by the state in the past five years. The previous violations were corrected by the owners.

    Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday. Jacob Thomas led the Coyotes with 30 points. Statham finished with 18 points, while Tevin Harris added 10 points. The Coyotes will play Cal State Monterey Bay on January 15. SBVC 64, Chaffey 61: Todd Lewis led the Wolverines . Charles Callison added 18 points for San Bernardino Valley. Cassidy Mihalko also had 20 points while Kamille Diaz added 18 points. SBVC 61, Chaffey 54: San Bernardino Valley defeated Chaffey 61-54 to improve to 7-11, 1-0 in the Foothill conference. Chaffey falls to 2-15, 0-1.

  • San Bernardino officers seek victims of possible police impersonator

    Police are searching for people who may have been stopped by a San Bernardino man pretending to be a police officer. Last month, a similar incident took place in Highland . Kory Adam Charleton, 23, of Highland was driving a white Crown Victoria, equipped with lights, sirens and a police scanner, when he was arrested by San Bernardino County sheriff's authorities. Anyone who may have witnessed the incidents this past weekend are asked to contact Detective Matt Block at 909-388-4935, or Sgt. Emil Kokesh at 909-384-5613.

  • Man pleads not guilty in slaining of Highland man

    Henry Alfred Duffy, 18, of Highland was charged and pleaded not guilty to allegedly killing 27-year-old Kenneth Fleming of Highland on Nov. 18. It's believed Duffy fired the fatal shots that killed Fleming, according to a criminal complaint filed by the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office date Jan. 2. The relationship between Fleming and Duffy was not clear and what sparked the shooting was not released. Duffy is scheduled to be back in San Bernardino Superior Court on Monday for a pre-preliminary hearing, records indicate.
