    An Erie man was sentenced Friday in Erie County Court to serve 40 to 80 years in state prison on charges that he sexually molested two girls and raped one of them over a period of several years. Milo Newlon, 42, also was designated a sexually violent predator and must register his whereabouts with police for the rest of his life upon his release from prison, Judge Shad Connelly ordered.

According to police reports, six men from Buffalo, originally from Kenya, invaded a home in the 900 block of East 11th Street on Dec. 12 shortly before 9:30 p.m. Police, dispatched after a hang-up 911 call, encountered the suspects, including two with guns, and a shot was fired.
