    Two elderly sisters are hoping a thief will get caught - or have a change of heart - after stealing heirloom Christmas ornaments from an 85-year-old Corona woman's driveway. Dozens of vintage glass ornaments, some more than 60 years old, were swiped Dec. 1 before dawn from 85-year-old Carol Nichols' driveway in Village Grove Mobile Home Park. The robber cleaned out nearly all of her lifetime collection of ornaments, said Nichols' younger sister, Lois Spurlock. Despite the theft, she hasn't lost the Christmas spirit. She doesn't want new ornaments.

    CORONA -- A rock and mud slide blocked all lanes of the 91 Freeway in Corona early Wednesday morning. The debris flow was reported just before 2 a.m. just west of Green River Road, near the Riverside-Orange County line, the California Highway Patrol said. Transition lanes from the northbound 241 to the eastbound 91 have also been closed. Was being diverted at Gypsum Canyon Road. Nolan, a Corona resident who has been on the radio for 41 years, the last 28 as the "Eye in the Sky" on KFI-AM and KOST-FM, made his retirement announcement Monday. His career as a traffic reporter got off the ground first near Lake Tahoe, then in Phoenix and San Jose. Nolan joined KFI in 1986, taking the place of traffic reporter Bruce Wayne, who had been killed in a plane crash that year.
