    One victim was killed, authorities said. Another victim is in unknown condition. The incident started with a verbal argument inside Tam's Burgers near Central and East Rosecrans avenues, Sheriff's Department homicide Capt. Knight, who has a long history of run-ins with the law, was at the wheel of a BMW in Las Vegas when passenger and popular rapper Tupac Shakur was shot by gunmen in another vehicle. Shakur died a week later, and the case has not been solved. He was arrested in Las Vegas on suspicion of drug possession and aggravated assault.

    COMPTON >> A man was fatally wounded during a fight near the Metro Blue Line's Artesia station in Compton today, authorities said. An armed security officer contracted by Metro saw the shooting and fired one shot at the suspect as he fled, but it was unclear if he was struck, she said. Metro's Kim Upton said the Artesia station was closed at 8:40 a.m., with the transit agency providing shuttle service for patrons at the Compton and Del Amo Metro Blue Line stations. The Artesia station is between the Compton and Del Amo stations.

    COMPTON -- A person was fatally shot Friday at a Metro Blue Line station in Compton. Officials received a call about a shooting at the Artesia station, 1920 S. Acacia Ave., just after 8:40 a.m., according to the Metro Transit Sheriff's Department. One injured person was pronounced dead after being transported to Harbor General Hospital. Bus shuttles replaced service between Compton and Artesia and Del Amo stations.
